Translation of a minor travel consent form
In which cases should you translate a minor travel consent form?
When planning traveling with minor children, the most important is not to get lost in preparation of your traveling documents. If a child leaves the homeland accompanied by his or her mother, then do not rush to translate the consent form.
Except for cases when your partner has a certified document prohibiting your child to leave the country. You can always verify this information in advance by asking your partner or by asking in the migration service of your city.
It is mandatory to have a written consent letter to cross the Russian border when your child travels with his or her grandmother, aunt, friend or teacher. In this case to cross the border, you need not only to provide a document certifying that the child is not abducted, and that his or her parents give the permission to him to travel outside Russia, but also its translation certified by a notary.
Translation of a minor travel consent form into English is mandatory, when you travel with your child to the Schengen area, even if you accompany yourself your child. The fulfillment of this condition is required by some countries to receive visa. When going abroad to work, you may also need to translate your personal tax identification number (TIN)..
