Consecutive interpretation
Consecutive interpretation, as can be judged by the name itself, requires to be “adjusted for interpreter”, i.e. the conversation participants have to pause to give the interpreter the possibility to convey the information that he/she has percieved in the foreign language. Such step-by-step mode of consecutive interpretation extends the total time of conversation, but has its advantages, such as strictness of communication and more time for negotiation participants to think over the things they have to say. Consecutive interpretation is fit for meetings with small number of participants (business talks, telephone negotiations, presentations, workshops, equipment mounting, cocktails, dinners, parties, excursions).
